B.S. in Mathematics at Universidad Simón Bolívar (Caracas),
1989. MBA at IESA (Caracas), 1991. As Research and Analysis Manager
at two local stockbrokers, he developed their equity investment
research area. His responsibilities included database development,
country sell-sale research and equity sell-sale research.
In 1995, Mr. Peyer joined the Financial Planning Department of Electricidad
de Caracas (EDC and now owned by AES Corporation), as assistant
to the Department Manager. At EDC, he was involved between corporate
finance duties (project evaluation, due diligence, valuation, loan
structuring, privatizations and joint ventures), investor relations
(handling day-to-day relations with sell-side analysts, global stockbrokers
and investment banks), buy-side research, business negotiations
and internal corporate development. Since 1998, he has been working
as an independent consultant. His areas of interest include financial
products such as securitizations and structured products, real state
investments, business strategy implementation, business plans, restructurings,
as well as intermediation in the sale and purchase of companies
and capital raising.
